We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for this year's Primary Care Update Week! In addition to the usual key medical themes, we will be delivering lively, thought provoking sessions on Paediatric Allergy, Veteran’s Health, PTSD and Therapeutic Drug Interactions plus a practical update on being confident with the Epley Manoeuvre.

Re: Educational Half Days 2016

Following a meeting with the CCG, we are delighted to confirm that we have agreed continuing support for our programme of Educational Half Days throughout 2016. These will remain free of charge to Guildford & Waverley GPs and Practice Nurses and parking/lunch will be provided for you. Timings remain the same, with lunch served from 12:30pm (Secondary Care Consultant colleagues also invited) and teaching starting at 1:30pm.

The meeting will then continue with topics as shown below with a planned finish time of 3:30pm to allow you to return to practice, school runs etc:

21 January 2016 Shared Care Protocols & CAMHS Update
10 March 2016 Erectile Dysfunction Pathways, RSS Lead (Topic TBC) & Travel Vaccination Update
5 May 2016 Prescribing in CKD/Using PAD, Managing AKI & Wound Care
21 July 2016 NOAC Prescribing, Cardiology & COPD/Asthma
22 September 2016 Contraceptive Prescribing & Contraception Update
20 October 2016 Emollient Prescribing & Dermatology Update

We are also exploring a Skype link for those practices that find it difficult to join us at the Education Centre, with more news to follow in the New Year. In the meantime, we would ask that you book via the ‘Registration’ page our website - - and we will continue to send out electronic certificates.

It is also intended to deliver a parallel programme aimed more at Practice Nurses and organised by Sarah Avenell, Primary Care Workforce Tutor. These will be happening at the same time as the usual programme and details are as above. All are welcome to attend whichever session they prefer.

Finally, we are also continuing with our Protected Practice Based Learning Time (PLT). We are able to fund urgent out of hours cover for you in the same way as EHDs but ask that you continue with the current arrangement of liaising directly with Care UK. Dates are as
